It has been a great first week after launching last Sunday on Father’s Day. We have started with a good variety of topics from parenting with a mix of safeguarding our kids while enhancing our knowledge of technology.
I am very grateful to all those that have already contributed content to the site since you are investing time sharing in sharing your experiences to make all of us better human beings. When I say create content I mean even those that left comments on the blog (In My book that is contributing to the value of this blog). For those of you reading this blog that are parents like me that is also a plus.
I want to really thank our First Sidekick Gustavo Franceschini, who I know will be one great Papá Heroe one day since he took the task of writing “Ipad as an Educational Tool” and will be sharing content with us regarding IOS Devices such as the iPhone and iPad periodically.
Letty Caban also created a useful list of “100 Acronyms every parent should know”. I have been using many of these acronyms at least the clean ones (Some of these will be an eye opener). We want to provide more content similar to this one that will help you communicate better and understand the children around our daily lives. The more we understand the way they communicate the higher the probability to keep them safer. Letty also created a post on establishing rules of internet use in the household.
Our good friend and now part of the #PapaHeroes #Alliance Ramon Morales included a letter written by his son Gabriel . Ramon earned such a privilege of getting such a great message from his kid. Ramon shared part of his experience of raising Gabriel as a Single dad and earning his son’s trust to the point it made it easier for him to safeguard him. I personally learned a lesson on how if you give your kids the right amount of freedom and guidance they will choose the right thing.
Sometimes we have to look back and see how did we get to be the type of person we are. Ricardo Serrano wrote a post on his Heroes which taught him 4 key lessons that have been useful for him throughout his life as a father and now as a grandfather.
Lucilla Feliciano choose to use her Dad’s favorite phrases and analyze how they where useful to her. Her review on Commonsense.org is something you should take a look at to get a better idea of the kind of common sense that can help us to be better parents.
For those of you enjoying the Daddyknows series of cartoons created by our own Rick Lipsett feel free to receive them directly to your email by suscribing to our newsletter.
This week Rick covered various subjects from allowing your children to experiment even when you see small risks, to using art as a shield to protect them from the difficult choices that they will have to in the future, to creating awareness on being spiritual and passing that along to our kids.
Overall I am very grateful to all of you that decided to read and comment on our content, included a badge on your website, mentioned us via social networks, spoke a friend or family member about us, forwarded some of our messages, and/or deciding to contribute a post or two to our effort. If we can facilitate the process of you recommending our site, feel free to contact me directly. And if you want to help in any way feel free to take action and reach out to us.
Thanks again have an awesome summer weekend from Alliance and I.

It’s been a first week full of intense labor on all the parts that make PapáHeroes possible. Every bit of effort has been well spent! I include myself with Raúl in deep appreciation to everyone that has helped in any way for this experiment to be a reality, and of course to our growing audience, for reading our thoughts.
Blessings to all!
