“Amemos más y juzguemos menos” or “Let’s love more and Judge Less” are words that couldn’t be truer as a mother and even a human being. CT Working Moms is launching a campaign today where we get to show our loving side instead of the judging side when it comes to parenting.
I wrote about Parent Mentors vs ParenKnow-it-alls two years ago and I have seen my growth in how I respond to people who question why we do certain things and why we don’t do other things. Sometimes I answer and sometimes I don’t. When people ask me for advice because they are going to be new parents, I give them the best advice I got from our parent mentor, Gabriel , before our daughter was born:
Many Moms and Many Differences
When I moved from a rural town to a tourist area in Puerto Rico, I was fortunate enough to have neighbors on the entire spectrum of parenting, more importantly moms who were offering encouragement and advice. One thing that three of us had in common at one point was that we were all breastfeeding children at different ages; newborn, two and a half, and a year old. But we all had differences, one ran marathons (still does), one was very religious, and then there was me (no exercise at all a the time not even walking and no religious preference.)
Moms for Moms
What I like about #Moms4Moms and the CT Working Moms is that they include all parenting styles and they want to support how differently everyone parents. Most importantly, that we encourage new moms and current moms in their journey to have children grow up in loving environments.
This is how you can participate:
Take a picture of yourself and put a message of support to moms using this template. Use the hashtag #Moms4Moms, follow them on Facebook, and Twitter.
Here is what I do differently from some moms I know:
I am WAHM Work at Home Mom
I am a vegetarian
I am an older mom
I breastfed and formula fed and ultimately breastfed
I buy local organic food
What do you do differently than most moms or parents?
What is your best advice to new moms?
Share your advice with us in the comments or submit your picture to our Facebook page so we can share your advice!

I LOVE this so much. Thank you for the support, Lucy, and for the beautiful picture. I really have enjoyed watching your little one “grow up alongside” mine. You are a wonderful mom! Love, Vivian (I don’t know why I’m showing up as CTOwner!). P.S. Those blue skies look like PARADISE!
