Since the first time we were introduced to the folks at ESCAPE, Centro de Fortalecimiento Familiar, we have gone to two of their events and have had a great time connecting with friends and our own family. The organization that has been around since 1983, helps children and families in violent and abusive homes. They work with families to bring smiles to those individuals who are in precarious situations. You can read more about what they do on their website.
A Jugar en Familia con Legos
There newest event involves legos, your family, and building what you envision is a happy community. You and your family (a total of six participants at least 2 adults and 4 children or combination) will have a chance to create and build at the San Patricio Mall, on September 22nd, what you think a happy community looks like using legos.
Your donations of $25.00 will go to help the organization and the time spent on creating your happy community will be displayed at the San Patricio Mall for all to see from September 22nd until September 28th. A group of judges will come together and declare the winners of the contest.
Spending time with your family is always fun but using your collective creativity is priceless. You can register for the event and show up with your legos, plan, and family to build your idea of a happy community.
