I had the privilege of being sent an Armor Otterbox case to review for our parenting blog for my iPhone 5. Although it is a free sample, the opinions expressed in this post are my own.
Since we live near the beach and I take pictures of my daughter playing in the water, this case was the perfect one for my specific needs. If you read the the description about the case on the Otterbox website, it is waterproof, drop proof, dust proof, and crush proof.
Water Proof
We did the waterproof case test and when we check inside of the case, it was completely dry. Although the phone and case have never fallen in deep water, my toddler has spilled water on it and thankfully no water has leaked inside of the phone. For those looking for a lightweight, water proof case, this case is a little heavier than ones I have seen. But it is also a plus as it can be used to protect yourself in case of an emergency.
Dust Proof
My case is always filled with sand because I put it in my little bag to walk along the beach and it has never filtered through the phone. The case is airtight all around and I do open it to shake off any excess sand accumulated on the case. The latches on the side are also a little harder for tiny fingers to try and open up the case.
Drop Proof
My daughter also thinks it is a swing toy and throw toy; no dents in the hard plastic that surrounds the phone. Even the hard plastic that surrounds the charging socket and headphones is protected. It really is a solid case and I have not had any problems with the touchscreen or volume buttons.
Thankfully I have not had the crushproof test and I hope I never have to write about an incident happening. Overall, of all the cases from Otterbox, we have had a few in our home, this one is solid and I do recommend it for beach dwellers such as myself.

That was a good review. I’ve been using the Armor for awhile now and really like it. I wish I would have waited to buy though as the new graphic versions are pretty cool.

I have not seen the new graphic versions. I really like the latches on the side for baby proofing. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
