We’d created a card and sent a learning book about Isla Verde, Puerto Rico to Colin after reading the reason why his mom Jennifer created the viral Facebook page. If anything is sure in Colin’s life, I know that his sister Ella and parents will be supportive through good and bad times; that is what parents do! I have been reading the updates on the page and you can read the excitement to make this happen for Colin from his family and cousins who help manage the page.
I probably would have been crying and screaming with all that happened on Friday on Good Morning America!
Thank You from Colin
With over 2 million people that liked his page, over 10, 000 cards, and best wishes on the page, Colin made a video saying thanks to everyone who made this happen. Here it is for your viewing pleasure.
Happy Birthday Colin
Enjoy your actual birthday today Colin from your friends in Puerto Rico. We say, “Feliz Cumpleaños” in Spanish and hope that your day is filled with lots of love!
As our friend Ron Hood noted, “…we all need to feel appreciated, loved, and respected. Anything less makes life a bit harsh.”
Hop on over to his Facebook page and leave a little note saying Happy Birthday. It surely is going to be one filled with lots of great things for Colin and his family.

Colin looked a bit overwhelmed (who wouldn’t be) and imagine how much shock he will have when presented with all those cards…mailed from all over the world.
There is a Colin in every single one of us.
This is why it sparked such attention. Depending on your age and life experience, we can all relate to being the Mom, Colin, or Both. When we respond, it makes us feel like we have helped our own inner Mom or Colin.
Bravo to all of us for creating action. The reaction of helping Colin and ourselves.

So true Ron. Thanks for sharing your perspective.
